Most of my tours feature Oxford, literature and history, and often include a museum visit too. My qualifications are listed below.
SHAKESPEARE AND OXFORD
This year the Museum of Oxford commissioned me to create a new tour, to celebrate their fifty-year anniversary (1975-2025). It's a walking tour (two versions available: 90 mins, 120 mins) and it focuses on Shakespeare's visits to Oxford.

- Local history is now my major research focus.
- I have crafted my tours carefully; they are light-hearted, creative and fun, as well as educational.

Choosing the two-year Master's by Research enabled me to make the journey across from Classics to English, though I had to jump a few extra hurdles along the way! I took an extra exam and completed part of the Oxford English Faculty's Master's programme as well as the Classics MPhil, in order to transition across to early modern studies for my doctoral work. I highly recommend moving across different faculties and departments if you can; it will enrich your research and your life forever!

Thesis title: ‘A Coming of Age: Drama at St John’s College, Oxford in the Early Modern period’
Key topics covered in this study: adolescent writing; bilingual literary traditions (English and Latin) at the English universities; coming of age themes in student drama; systems of academic assessment in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century schools and colleges; manuscript evidence for plays staged in Elizabethan, Jacobean, and Caroline Oxford.
