THE OXFORD CHRONICLES
I enjoy my work in the archives to be sure. But I also want to be out and about in the world. So I run projects for the community which everyone can get involved in.

The Oxford Chronicles
is a collaboration between Human Historian,
West Oxford Community Association, and Professor Steve Gunn and Dr Tomasz Gromelski from the Oxford History Faculty.

Academic research embedded in the community
Watch this space for our special events for 2026 at West Oxford Community Centre and the Museum of Oxford!

The Oxford Chronicles is a mixed bag of fun: part panto (oh yes it is!), part radio drama*, and part 'history chat' with tea and cake. You can pick and mix which activities you want to take part in.
*We're recording our own Oxford Chronicles drama serial, set in Tudor Oxford! Come and research local sites with us. Or voice a character on the show.

Our "Find Out and Share" sessions are very relaxed and we have great fun on our group trips to archives and galleries.
Most recently we got the bus to Oxfordshire History Centre, to look at some amazing evidence,
and I've given tours of the Ashmolean Museum where I work.
