TALKS AND WORKSHOPS

I have twenty years of experience in educational public speaking for:
  • schools
  • universities
  • museums
  • hospitals
  • educational charities
  • community groups
I enjoy giving papers at seminars and conferences, but I no longer fly overseas for environmental reasons. Always happy to join via an online platform. If I can get to you by train / bus / foot / bike then I would love to join you in person.

I am deep in research at the moment, on Tudor and Stuart Oxford. I am writing a series of plays and short stories for a collaboration between the Oxford History Faculty and the Museum of Oxford. The series is called The Oxford Chronicles.

For talks, here are my three specialist areas:
  • Greek and Roman Literature and Art
  • English Literature (Late Medieval and Early Modern period)
  • History of Oxfordshire 1300-1700

For workshops, all of the above plus:
  • Edible gardening
  • Gardening for the senses
  • Engaging with the natural world
  • Green spaces and mental health
  • Green Social Prescribing
  • Sustainable travel
